Gianluca Grollo is a travel photographer who can capture the inner geometry and symmetry of architecture and landscapes around the world.
Gianluca Grollo was born in Conegliano. He graduated at Ca’ Foscari in Russian and French languages and then moved to Milan in 2015 where he started attending Cattolica university. He also lived in Paris for a short period of his life. He works as a digital strategist for companies: he is both a consultant and a creator of digital advertising.
His first inspiration as a photographer was the Mestre council estate that he always sees on the way home to his parents. The pictures come out of what surrounds him: by traveling a lot, he discovers the common spots, either physical or spiritual, of every place he visits and he focuses on geometries, edges, and particular color combinations.
He is most attracted to pink shades. The talent beyond his work is, however, the fact that all these similarities between the locations always keep a specific identity, typical of the country they represent.
An important component of his visual research is surely the internet: he bases his artistic work and job on the online content. He is very considerate of the evolution of social media and advertising ratings. That is the reason why his photographs are very direct and effective.
He varies from close-ups of a detail of an object or a person to buildings facades and corners to a general representation of a particular situation: it is all about changing the perspective.
