BED j.w. FORD bases itself on the concept of “dressing up” whilst exploring innovative design and coordinated layers. Each collections draws inspiration from the beauty andfragileness of the intimacies within our daily lives; reflecting the designer’s personalinteractions with the transience of space, sounds and objects.

Designer Shinpei Yamagishi entered the fashion industry, unconventionally self-taught without formal study; establishing BED j.w. FORD in 2010 and launching its first collectionfor 2011 Spring / Summer.

The SS20 collection, named “blind faith”, trusts in something without any evidence or clear reasons. It lacks perception, awareness, and judgment by people. This collection is made with Yamagishi’s pure faith. He sees only what he sees, wants to stay blind.

BED j.w. FORD: a variety of fabrics including silk, velvet, smooth wool and elegant satin are combined with premium materials such as Indian embroidery cotton and ozone bleached silk.

The color pallet spans neutral tones such as beige, off white, olive, brown and black, bright tones such as gold, purple, orange, pink, mint green, blue, with hints of houndstooth checked pattern and military essence.
