B is for (non) Binary – Motoguo

An evergreen trend was born this decade: non binary. While normal trend’s life cycle seems to end once in a while the genderless fashion looks forward to stop being a trend and eventually become a way of life, a valid alternative, a different perception of fashion, manners and aesthetics.

One day we will stop thinking only about menswear and womenswear and finally realize there is a plus one clothes gender free from every stereotype you we may have and the fashion roles will be definitely merged homo- generously.

Summer has just ended, but who cares! “To Kinder” Spring/Summer 2018 (for boys and girls) was the collection presented by Motoguo, a Malaysian fashion brand founded by its eponymous artistic director. The quirky, the strange and the eccentric actually guide the designer’s inspiration. The textures and shapes glaze the eyes of the spectator. The cynical and the self-deprecating essence of the brand will left its own sign over the current era.

Officially launched in 2005, Motoguo knows no point of bifurcation, genders are unified and their original style have never faded since its beginning. The brand maintains silhouettes and patterns through the years and has been able to establish its own style by adopting a childish posture that unveils its evergreen ethereal soul.
