The eclectic designer Dorian Stefano Tarantini also a player Dj of the milanese nightlife gave a twist to the brand borned as Malibu 1992 now named as M.1992 and it was during Pitti Uomo 93 at Dogana in Florence the desired place where his latest collection emerged to show its spirit of digital degeneration of luxury – as described by him.
Owned a stylish transcendental identity the brand was supported by Fondazione Pitti Discovery, Pitti Immagine and Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana, last entity that have followed the designer since his first steps and mostly after turning into a brand of cult that suddenly invaded the digital scene by being wear by celebrities.
The brand’s predilection for showing its inherent footprint from art, music and lifestyle is the strong mark present in every design. This occasion the collaboration was with different brands; Swarovski inserted in in t-shirts and hoodies, all models wearing 50’s style classic shoes from College, and the one that impressed me the most: El Charro bringing back to life the Paninaro style from the 80’s with the characteristic belt’s buckle, logo t-shirts and the tex-mex flower.
All in denim, upper structured tailoring, bomber jackets and puffed long skirts are the pieces that complement the collection. It’s my right to say and conclude it was a mix of urban streetwear, classy style and luxury well-mixed with a view to provoke the regeneration of a young brand leading a modern subculture.
