Playful colors and shapes represent the Alessandro Enriquez’s “Double Love”, topic that have guided the designer to give birth to a whole new stage in his career by launching his first prêt-à-porter collection named after him during Milan Fashion Week Spring/Summer 19 the past September 19th with a presentation and a private cocktail in a totally different environment I was not expecting: a real bike workshop.

After 4 years of matured experience with the brand 10×10 Anitaliantheory, Alessandro finally decided to start with an homonymous brand with a mood based on the contemporary society and sometimes looking back to bring on old trends and translate them to what’s hot now. This time the 90’s were present in all its splendor and there were two things that suddenly transported me to that specific age: fits and the recognizable bandana pattern.

Raw denim in 100% pure cotton is the common thread in the whole collection, even if it’s something that don’t get me surprised but it certainly makes me happy is to see it on the market proposed with new fits and matched with different hues in order to create color blocking. All the fabrics used by the designer are dyed with natural pigments and as a plus to the blue raw denim we can also find bright primary colors that intersect illustrated patterns.

In addition to new shapes and models, there is also a special capsule designed in collaboration with Universal Pictures where the cartoon Woody WoodPecker celebrates its 78th anniversary, a work that emphasizes the sensitivity of the designer towards the historical icon properties. In addition, the collection is crafted in Italy and Tunisia, two countries that take part of the strong designer’s heritage.
